In this article, we will be walking you through how to find your CJ Affiliate parameters as well as how to connect them to your Geniuslink account to start automatically affiliating your CJ Affiliate links.

We currently have auto-affiliation support for Wayfair, Lowe's, Books-A-Million, Barnes and Noble, Office Depot, TigerDirect, Walgreens, and Overstock on CJ Affiliate.

Finding your Publisher Website ID and AID

Before you can connect one of your CJ Affiliate program accounts to Geniuslink, you will need to find your Publisher Website ID (PID), and Affiliate ID (AID). To do this, you will need to first generate an affiliated link from the store you'd be auto-affiliating from your CJ Affiliate dashboard.

First, log in to your CJ Affiliate Dashboard. Then, with your cursor, hover over your “Links” tab and select “Link Tools.”

On your Link Tools page, scroll down to Step 3 and drag and drop the “CJ Deep Link box into your Bookmark bar on your browser.

Next, enter the store that you’d like to affiliate with and select any product. Once your page has landed on a product, click on the “CJ Deep Link” bookmark on your browser. You will see a popup appear called the “Deep Link URL Generator.”

(Note: Office Depot is being used for this example)

This link should look something like this:

The first two numbers between the "click-" parameter and the "?" will be your Publisher Website ID (PID) and Affiliate ID (AID) respectively (these will be separated by a hyphen).

(Note: the domain may be different for each affiliate program, so don’t worry if you see a different domain such as www.dpbolvw.net)

Connecting your CJ Affiliate Program to Geniuslink

From the Deep Link URL, copy the 7-digit PID (Publisher Website ID), and the 8-digit AID (Affiliate ID). When copying these strings of numbers, do not include any dashes or the question mark after the AID.

Next, log in to your Geniuslink dashboard and click on the “Affiliate” tab. Click the blue “Add a program” button.

Click the blue “Add a program” button, and select whichever program you're trying to add from the drop-down list.

Next, paste both of these values, into the corresponding fields and select "Connect this program."

That's it! Once you have these connected and saved in your Geniuslink dashboard, we will automatically begin affiliating any links that you build for this store!

Additionally, if you would like to replace your CJ Affiliate affiliate parameters, simply follow the same steps for adding a program, or select “Remove” and repeat this process.

How to test that your CJ link is Affiliating

To test that your CJ link is affiliating, first build a geni.us link that directs to a page for the retailer whose ID you just added. To do this, first, copy the URL of a page for that retailer directly from the page's address bar.

*Because you have added this retailer's ID to your affiliate page, you will never need to grab affiliate links from that program's affiliate dashboard.

Then, create a geni.us link with that URL by pasting that URL into the link creator on your links page.

You'll then need to install a redirect tracing service such as Link Redirect Trace. Installing a redirect tracing service is necessary because our service adds your CJ IDs in the redirects between your geni.us link and the final page URL your customer lands on.

Once you have your redirect tracing tool installed, find your geni.us link and click it.

On the page you land on, access your redirect trace. Then and look for your AID and PID in the redirects. If you've set things up correctly, you'll see them in the same place as the highlighted sections in the image below.

If you see your AID and PID in the redirect, then great, you're all set! However, if not, please ensure that you've correctly added your ID to your Affiliate page and there are no typos in your ID.
